NJC Employers OFFER £1925

Local Government Employers have made a pay offer of £1925 flat rate to Local Government and School workers covered by NJC pay.

This is in response to the Joint Unions Claim for £2000, or RPI plus 2%. UNISON’s NJC committee had decided that they would go straight to a ballot if the employers’ offer did not substantially match our claim.

This has helped focus the employers mind, and the offer reflects that.

The offer is particularly beneficial for lower paid workers who are suffering the impact of inflation, especially on core requirements like energy and food, hardest of all.

The offer is still well below the current level of inflation for many workers, and would represent a further cut in living standards. Across the country a growing number of workers are taking action on pay to protect living standards. Within UNISON Health workers are due to be balloting on their £1,400 pay offer.

UNISON’s NJC committee is meeting on Friday 29th July to consider how to respond to the offer and is seeking members views. Please complete this form to add your views:
